Motorists have been warned to expect "long delays" on Bolton Road in Bury today due to continuting roadwork on the A58.
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) reported that multi-way temporary signals have been installed at the Watling Street junction.
Resurfacing works have caused severe congestion on the A58 Bury and Bolton Road since yesterday.
Motorists travelling toward Bolton on A58 will see a longer journey time if taking this route.
TfGM has warned drivers to allow extra time for their journey and divert down Ainsworth Road if possible.

Earlier this week, Bury Council announced roads around Bury Bridge would be closed for up to seven weeks to allow maintenance work to take place.
The carriageways of Jubilee Way, Bolton Street and Crostons Road will be resurfaced with work scheduled to begin to start on Monday, June 13 and last around six to seven weeks
