The bustling Whalley Artisan Market is set to return this weekend with more than 50 local traders showcasing their wares.

The two-day market returns to the Ribble Valley village on Saturday, June 25, and Sunday 26, with the monthly event returning to the car park of The Swan Hotel, on the corner of King Street and Accrington Road.

Organised by the Whalley Chamber of Trade and Crafty Vintage collective, more than 50 businesses will be selling crafts, art and food at the market, which runs from 10am to 4pm each day and is free to enter.

Items such as candles, jewellery, preserves, cheese, sweet treats and more will be on offer, with something for everyone.

Laura Johnson, who founded Crafty Vintage in 2011, said: “The group has such a diverse set of talent from every inch of Lancashire.

“The Monthly Artisan Market is a celebration of this which invites visitors to come along and see the best of local art, food, accessories and decor - all on their doorstep delivered with a sustainable ethos.”

Guitarist Doug Livesey will play during the day to keep guests entertained, alongside DJ Sam Flanigan.

Alongside market stalls, there will be 112.Pizza, serving from a converted vintage fire engine, and a coffee and cake trailer, with seating around the market and visitors encouraged to also explore the rest of the village.
