Five creative young adults, an indie band and The Met have teamed up to raise funds for a Bury mental health charity.

Five young adults, aged 18-25 have been given the opportunity to organise a musical event at The Met, alongside Bury-based indie band Cardboard Shoes.

Their partnership is with the young people from the Blueprint Project, which arranges paid placement and the opportunity to organise a musical event under the guidance of The Met staff.

Blueprint supports the creative community through free arts programming and is now able to support Big in Mental Health with the aid of Cardboard Shoes.

Unfortunately, due to two band members testing positive for covid, Denova has had to pull out of the Gig.

Band member Kevin has said: "We are gutted but will be re-scheduling a show in Bury as soon as possible".

The night of music will take place on July 13 at 8 pm and for ticket holders, there will be a pre-show party in Wax and Beans from 6 pm to 7.30 pm.

Tickets for the event can be booked for £8 or bought at the door for £10. These can be purchased from The Met or Wax and Beans during their working hours.

The proceeds from this event will be going to the charity BIG in Mental Health and for any extra donations you can visit https://www.gofundme.com/f/raising-money-for-big-in-mental-health
