Bury's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are already in place and are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm on October 24, 2022 to 6am on February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9pm yesterday, Monday, January 16 to 6am on Monday, January 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise junction 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, junction 19 - M60 anticlockwise junction 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, junction three - M60 anticlockwise junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M66, from 8pm on Wednesday, January 18 to 6am on February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, January 23 to 6am on Monday, January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise junction 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, junction 19 - M60 anticlockwise junction 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, junction 3 - M66 southbound, junction 3 - M60 anticlockwise junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• M66, from 8pm on Tuesday, January 24 to 6am on February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
