Police are asking Whitefield residents to check their CCTV after a “smartly dressed” man was “knocking on doors” early this morning, Monday.

A person, described as a black man in his 20s or 30s and smartly dressed, is reported to have been knocking on doors in the Trees Estate in Whitefield.

Officers said that they received "multiple reports" from residents after the man was allegedly seen knocking on doors and "asking for help".

“We would like residents to check their CCTV and ring doorbell footage to see if any suspicious activity was captured.
