Emergency services were called to a street in Whitefield after a vehicle fire broke out earlier this evening.
Fire crews were called to Marston Close at 4.20pm today, August 9, after a large Mercedes van caught on fire.
One fire engine attended from Whitefield Fire Station and crews were in attendance for one hour.
Whitefield crew manager Hopkinson said they are unsure on the cause.

He said: “We attended a vehicle fire on Marston Close at 4.20pm, one fire engine from Whitefield attended, put it out and we were detained for about one hour.
“We are unsure on the cause but you could see the fire from a fair distance.
“It was a large Mercedes van.”
