Tram customers have been warned of disruption on the Bury metrolink line this afternoon, Thursday.
Manchester Metrolink announced at around 4pm today that trams would not run between Whitefield and Crumpsall due to an "operational issue".
The service between the two stops, locate between Manchester and Bury, will not run until further notice.
Passengers have been advised that tickets and passes are valid on the following bus services; 15, 18, 41, 52, 53, 98 and 135.
A Manchester Metrolink spokesperson said: "Due to an operational issue there is no service between Crumpsall and Whitefield.
"Tickets and passes can be used on the 15, 18, 41, 52, 53, 98 and 135 bus services."
