Tram services on the Bury line are running with minor delays following disruption earlier this evening.
Manchester Metrolink announced services between Bury and Crumpsall had been suspended due to a points fault at Whitefield, this afternoon.
The operator has since reported that services are running once again with minor delays.
Annnouncing the disruption at around 4.40pm today, a Manchester Metrolink spokesperson said that due to a points fault at Whitefield, there are no services between Bury and Crumpsall.
The operator announced that tickets and passes would be accepted on bus services including 17, 18, 41, 52, 53, 90, 95, 97, 98, 135.
In an update, a spokesperson for Manchester Metrolink said: "Services are now running through with some minor delays. Thank you for your patience and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused to your journey this afternoon.

The disruption comes less than a week after the same service was suspended between Whitefield and Crumpsall due to an "operational issue."
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has advised customers to refer to its website for further updates.
It recommended tram users to consider using alternative methods of public transport or consider walking between stops.
