Bury Trams are not currently running into Manchester City Centre after another incident of vandalism.
Metrolink users travelling from Bury to Manchester can only go as far as Queens Road by tram this morning after a disruption to the Bury and Rochdale tram line.
Service will not run between Victoria and Queens Road due to “vandalism”.
Whilst services are only partly operating, tickets are being accepted on these busses: 17, 18, 41, 52, 53, 56, 90, 95, 97, 98, 112, 117, 118, 119, 135, 156 bus service.
Bury tram users can still use the public transport system to travel between Bury, Radcliffe, Besses o' th' barn, Whitefield, Heaton Park, Prestwich, Bowker Vale, Crumpsall, Abraham Moss and Queens Road.
A spokesperson from the Manchester Metrolink said: “Due to vandalism, the Bury & Rochdale via Oldham lines are currently partially suspended.
“Bury line services will operate between Queens Road and Bury only.
“Rochdale via Oldham line services will operate Between Rochdale and Monsall only.
“For Bus services on the Bury line, the following services will accept tickets and passes - 17, 18, 41, 52, 53, 56, 90, 95, 97, 98, 112, 117, 118, 119, 135, 156
“Tickets and passes are in place on the Rochdale line 57, 59, 76, 76a, 81, 83, 114, 149, 181, 182, 409, 411 bus service.
“In addition to public transport, there are several destinations on this line that can be easily reached by walking.”
This is the second act of vandalism to suspend the Bury line in recent weeks after important track materials were stolen in August.
Following that incident, no services were operating between Bury and Whitefield.
