An appeal has gone out to help find a missing man.

Police said on Wednesday evening that a man from Fairway in Prestwich they have identified only by his first name as “Benjamin” had been missing since earlier in the day.

Officers have appeal for anyone who may recognise him or who has any information about where he might be to get in touch.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Can you help us find Benjamin?

“Officers are becoming increasingly concerned and want to make sure he is safe and well.”

Officers say that the man was last seen wearing glasses, a navy blue suit, a white shirt, black shoes and a black Kippah, a traditional Jewish cap.

They have described him as a white man, around five feet and nine inches tall, with a medium build and dark hair.

He was last seen at around 11am on the morning of Wednesday September 27.

Police regularly issue appeals to help them find missing people in the hope that other members of the public may recognise them.

Anyone with any information about the missing man or his whereabouts can contact police on 101 or 0161 856 2225.

Members of the public should always call 999 in the event of an emergency.
