A borough team has become the first community care provider in North West to win a national accolade for its end of life care.

Prestwich's Specialist Care Team was announced as winners in the "domiciliary" category of the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Awards on Friday, September 29.

The GSF recognised more than 100 care providers in this year's awards. 

Specialist Care Team, based in Prestwich town centre, delivers its specialist end of life care to allow people to die with dignity in their own home across north Manchester.

Registered manager of Specialist Care Team, Julie Murray, said: “We are honoured by the Gold Standards Framework award, which is a testament to our team's relentless dedication and commitment.
