A woman has been charged with several drug dealing offences after being arrested as part of a wide ranging police investigation.

Officers announced this week that Mary Gildea, 52, had been arrested in Radcliffe as part of Greater Manchester Police’s Operation Revoke.

According to police, she was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of a bladed article and possession of the proceeds of crime.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from Operation Revoke have been working with officers from the Radcliffe Neighbourhood Team to combat drug dealing in Radcliffe.

“The team has arrested and charged Mary Gildea of Shire Gardens, Radcliffe, with possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of a bladed article, possession of proceeds of crime.”

They added: “This was a great collaborative effort and hopefully we can work with the Operation Revoke team again in the future.”

Gildea is expected to appear before the courts at a later date.
