A medium's powers appear to have proved to be true after a head teacher won the Made In Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw.

Victoria Gilkey, who has been the head at Fairfield Community Primary School for the last two years, scooped the prize with ticket number 23026.

The draw team visited Victoria at the Rochdale Old Road school to surprise her.

Victoria, who has had a ticket for the draw since July 2022, was thrilled with the news, especially as the week before she visited a medium who told her that she would be coming into some money with someone "sending some pennies from heaven".

Victoria will be spending her winnings on an upcoming holiday to Tunisia, which is perfect timing as the balance for the holiday was due days before the draw win.
