AN event run by Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC) this month aims to help local businesswomen in their careers and in their lives.
Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway! brings together women from different backgrounds to discuss professional and personal development.
This includes tackling imposter syndrome and the importance of effective personal branding.
They will be inspired by a panel of four speakers including the new BLGC CEO Emma Hutchinson and counsellor, philanthropist and menopause coach Emma Neville.
Winnie Andango, who leads diversity and inclusion for the NHS’s National Blood and Organ Donation Service, will also be speaking as will Alice Kan.
Alice is life sciences director at her consultancy Kan Do Ventures and was responsible for setting up the manufacture of the production line making the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.
The event, which takes place on Friday, November 17, runs from 11.30am to 3pm at Old Links Golf Club in Bolton and is sponsored by Little Lever based Stanmore Insurance.
It is one of several Women in Business events run by the Spa Road charity over recent years.
Aimee Vardy, BLGC’s events and fundraising manager, said: “The idea behind the event is to bring together women at all different points in their career to share expertise, to network, to discuss topical issues that perhaps don’t get talked about enough that females face and also to develop and grow together.”
