Two casualties were rescued from a vehicle and taken to hospital after a crash between two vehicles at a junction in Oldham.
The emergency services attended the junction between Cross Street and Huddersfield Road at around 9.15pm on Wednesday.
According to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service two casualties were rescued from a vehicle and taken to hospital.
The casualties' condition is unknown at this time although the police said the incident was not taken on by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 9.15pm last night fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the junction of Cross Street and Huddersfield Road.
"Two fire engines from Oldham and Hollins and the technical response unit from Leigh quickly attended the incident which involved two vehicles.
"Crews used specialist equipment to extricate two people from a vehicle before they were conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
"Crews worked with Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe before departing after approximately one hour and fifteen minutes at the scene."
