A man was arrested after police from Bury got behind a suspected “outstanding stolen vehicle.”
Officers say that the car had been stolen in West Yorkshire before they came across it being driven around the Bury area on Friday August 2.
They say that on stopping the car they then arrested the driver on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, driving without a license and driving without insurance.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “He was transported back to West Yorkshire to be dealt with by the handling force.”
They say that the car was noticed, and the driver arrested thanks to the “20/20 vision” of the pursuing officers.
An image supplied by police at the scene shows the black Ford after having been stopped by a police vehicle in a car park.
Police say that the arrest came about on Friday after “proactive work in and around our communities.”
