Officers have been patrolling Drinkwater Park in Prestwich after a spate of anti-social behaviour was reported.

Crime within the park by youths on electric powered motorbikes has been an issue at all times of day causing users of the park to feel unsafe.

Officers have been present at the park throughout the day to deter this behaviour and to make residents feel safer.

A spokesperson for GMP Bury said: “Officers from Bury GMP Neighbourhood South Team has been patrolling every shift at Drinkwater Park at different times of the day due to the increase in anti- social behaviour and crime within the park by youths on electric powered motorbikes.

“We hope the officer’s presence will help local residents feel safer within the park and also act as a deterrent for the Anti- Social Behaviour.
