A Bury-based financial firm has made two promotions within the company.
Kate Hughes and Richard Askey have been promoted to partner roles at DTE Business Advisers, a partner-led firm of accountants, tax and business advisers with two offices situated in Bury and Manchester.
Both Ms Hughes and Mr Askey joined the company as trainees and worked their way up to their new respective positions.
These promotions are the culmination of an exciting year at DTE, highlighted by becoming part of the accountancy group, DJH.
This merger has provided more opportunities for both clients, through extended in-house specialist support services, and the firm, by offering their teams broader experience through access to more comprehensive support.
Ms Hughes said: "I am delighted to become partner at DTE.
"It is an exciting time in the company as we continue to grow, and following our partnership with DJH, we can offer even more service lines to our clients.
"I look forward to continuing to support the businesses we work with to achieve their goals."
Mr Askey said: "It has been a longstanding ambition of mine to become a partner, and I am extremely pleased to have achieved this goal.
"There have been a number of exciting changes at DTE within the last 12 months, not least with us joining DJH.
"I am therefore looking forward to fresh challenges in my new role and I remain focused on providing a high level of service to a wide range of clients, across many different sectors."
The director of DTE, Richard Taylor, said: "I am extremely pleased for Kate and Richard.
"They are both invaluable members of our team and it’s been a pleasure to watch them grow and develop over the years.
"I look forward to seeing their continued growth and development in their new roles."
