An inclusive LGBTQ+ event in the borough has hosted its biggest-ever weekend.
Prestwich Pride took place across the town from Friday, August 9 to Sunday, August 11 for the third year running, expanding from its previous one-day celebration to three consecutive days of events.
Organisers said the family-friendly event had been "thoughtfully curated to create diverse spaces and events that cater to the entire community, ensuring everyone can partake in the celebrations".

Regular favourites made their return with rock and roll family party Born To Be Wild Child at Prestwich Con Club and a free pride party hosted at Cuckoo bar and restaurant on Bury New Road.
There were some new additions this year including members of the LGBTQ+ community joining the Manchester Frontrunners parkrun at Heaton Park, a drag quiz with entertainer The Fat Britney, a gardening Plant at Pride session and a Sunday brunch.
Prestwich Pride continues to give back to the community, with more than £4,000 raised during the weekend which will be donated to charities George House Trust and Trans Mutual Aid.
There was a surprise celebrity appearance from Manchester-based drag performer, academic and patron of George House Trust, Cheddar Gorgeous, also known as Dr Michael Atkins.

The former Drag Race UK contestant said: “The work of the team and their continued support of charities like George House Trust should be commended.
“It's the smaller pride events that matter the most.
“You see our communities at their best, people coming together to create a space of joy, affirmation and safety regardless of the headliner or scale of the dance arena!”
The annual raffle generated a large portion of donations with high-end prizes up for grabs such as season passes to Manchester Warehouse Project events, guestlist spots to global Defected events, gig tickets, vouchers for several Prestwich bars and eateries, a Canal Street VIP card and more.
Matthew Cooper, communications lead at Prestwich Pride, said: “This year we chose to expand our pride celebrations into a three-day event to offer a wider variety of events so more people can come down and celebrate with the community in ways that they feel comfortable doing.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with the support and generosity from the volunteers and companies that made it all happen, and with the love and feedback from everyone that attended.”
