A number of people from Bury have recently been before the courts.
Magistrates have dealt with criminal damage as well as motoring and drug offences.
Ryan Duffin drove a Peugeot on Manchester Road, Bury, with cannabis in his system in December last year.
On the same day, he was in possession of cannabis.
The 39-year-old admitted the offences at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Duffin, of Belbeck Street, Bury, was banned from the roads for a year and fined £500.
Jamie Hodgson attempted to steal an electric drill from The Range in Bury in June this year.
The 35-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Hodgson, of Foxglove Drive, Bury, was jailed for four weeks.
The reason given for custody was that the offence was committed while Hodgson was serving a suspended sentence.
Kieran Wild damaged a window of the Aldi on Bell Lane, Bury, causing £2,000 of damage.
Wild, of Percy Street, Bury, admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
The 32-year-old was jailed for 10 weeks.
The reasons given for this were that he has a “flagrant disregard for court orders” and the offence took place while a suspended sentence was being served.
Paul Rekia failed to provide a specimen to police when required to do so in Salford in May this year.
He was ordered to provide a specimen of blood as police investigated whether he had committed an offence. However, Rekia failed to provide one.
The 41-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Rekia, of Bury New Road, Prestwich, was banned from the roads for a year and fined £120.

Gusztav Petrovics drove a Volkswagen in Bolton Road, Bury, in June this year while disqualified and with no insurance.
The 36-year-old admitted the two offences at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Petrovics, of Clyde Terrace, Radcliffe, was placed on a community order to last for a year.
He was ordered to do 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days and was fined £120.
He was also banned from the roads for a year.
