A PROPERTY management firm has moved from the kitchen table to new offices in Bury in under three years.

Luke Barnett and his partner Kevin drew together the initial concept for a property management company in January 2017.

And now their fledgling thoughts, which later took shape temporarily in their garden shed, have seen Luke Barnett Property Management take on new offices on the Freetown Business Park.

Mayor of Bury Cllr Trevor Holt and his Mayoress wife Evelyn have officially launched the enterprise, off Hudcar Lane, which boasts eight full-time members of staff and four contractors.

Staff also enlisted the support of two local firms, Little Blonde Bakes and Mr Fitzpatrick's, to add to the festivities, supplying sweetmeats and non-alcoholic beverages.

The property firm's aim has been to bring together a variety of tradespeople, in one team, from a painter and decorator, to a joiner, plasterer, electrician, bricklayer and landscape gardener, to cover all bases, as they build up a portfolio of domestic and office rentals and sale properties.

This includes three offices, which are to let, within their own new building.

Among their services for landlords include block management.

Staff are looking to cover Greater Manchester and into East Lancashire, through the ongoing development of their own referral network.

Luke said: "Customer service combined with a fantastic team has been the key to our success.

"This is reflected in the 100 five-star reviews the company has received from satisfied customers."

The landmark has been doubly significant for Luke, who recently celebrated 23 months sober.

And the company has also been celebrating after receiving a Bury business awards nomination.
