THIS week the Made in Bury team were at the Grundy Centre in Bury, which is where Persona Support are located.

With the help of some of the staff, we surprised John O'Connor, the finance manager, with his £2,000 cheque.

With his colleagues gathered in reception, finance director, Bernard Noblett, brought John into the main foyer under the pretence of moving some boxes.

Instead of boxes, he was presented with his cheque to a round of rapturous applause and congratulations from everyone watching.

John has been in his role for four years and told us that he plans on spending the money on his children and possibly a weekend away.
