RADCLIFFE AC had three runners in the top 10 in the Northern Jumble Trail Half Marathon from the West Yorkshire mill town of Slaithwaite.

Running alongside the canal Lee Cooper came home third in 1hr 40mins, Dave Rushton fifth in 1:43:27 and Peter Hunter eighth in 1:46:21 in the Sunday event. Caroline Mullineaux was fourth woman clocking 2:00:10, a personal best time.

Neal Emmerson was seventh overall in the popular Race Tatton 10k on Sunday when he clocked 35:27. He was joined by John Wrigley from Radcliffe who was well placed on the one-lap course in Cheshire’s famous Tatton Park in 28th position in 40:28.

Two Radcliffe members took on the tough 35th Through The Villages race from Wheelton, Chorley.

Kate Holden (V40) clocked 1:09:36 on the 8.45-mile course going through Wheelton, Brinscall, Abbey Village and Withnell, and vet-60 Sheila Jones ran 1:11:54.

Karen Doherty ran the hilly but stunning Derwentwater 10 at Keswick in a personal best time of 1:45:13.

In the popular 5k parkruns Vince Ashton notched up his 59th park location at Cliff Castle in West Yorkshire, joining other parkrun tourists and clocking 3152 on his birthday.

Eleven ran at Heaton Park with Mark Garner clocking 21:36, Mauro Rotondi 22:47, Amanda Callan 23:01 – a personal best – Sheila Jones 23:08, Nick Barnes 23:17, Chris Fletcher 24:47, Peter Hunter 25:12, junior Olivia Whittaker with a PB of 29:38, Iain Harris 31:42, Christine Berry 33:21 and Lisa Donnelly 38:40.

A 10-strong Radclifffe contingent ran at Bolton with Katie Percival achieving a course PB of 21:59, Paul Barrington running a PB of 23:09, Debi Warrington a PB of 28:10, Kath Davies 28:12, David Schofield 29:24, Elaine Bailey 30:18, Andy Wheeler 30:41, Natalie Hitchen 33:18, Lucy Tetler 34:17 and Lisa Donnelly 35:31.

Jenny Yates did a weekend double when she ran at Platt Fields parkrun on Saturday – in a course PB of 21:14 then clocked 22:32 in the Sunday 5k at Burrs Country Park in Bury.
