THREE young Bury ABC boxers all enjoyed victories in the Girls and Boys Club Championships last Saturday in Croxteth, Liverpool.
Fifteen-year-old Kian Winstanley fought at Class A 63kg and beat William Appleton, of South Cheshire ABC, on a unanimous points decision.
Abdul Khan, a 16-year-old fighting at 52-54kg Class B, was also victorious on the night.
he saw off Phoenix Fire boxer Tom Bennett thanks to a split decision.
Making it a hat-trick iof Bury ABC wins was 16-year-old Ali Akbar Javid who fought at Class B 63kg.
He won unanimously on points against the highly-rated Everton Red Triangle fighter Kevin Connell.
Connell has represented England and Bury coach Mick Jelley said it was a superb win for Javid.
