LINDSEY Reynolds is ready to rub shoulders with table tennis's elite after qualifying for the PG Mutual National Championships.

The 38-year-old from Bury finished ninth at the qualifying tournament in Preston, where a top-10 finish was needed to book a place at the Nationals.

She will now compete alongside the top-20 ranked senior English players in Nottingham from March 1-3, and could earn a plum draw against one of England’s 2018 Commonwealth Games medallists.

Reynolds, said: “It was tough today and the other competitors are all a lot younger than me. I wanted to go to Nationals because it is a challenge and I enjoy a challenge.”
