SEVEN local golf clubs will be among more than 80 taking part in the prestigious Bell Cup.
The Manchester and District Ladies' Golf Association competition sees the top seven players from each club compete in team matchplay knockout format and is the biggest of its kind in the country.
The finals day will take place at Pike Fold Golf Club on August 30 with the semi-finals in the morning and the final in the afternoon.
Walmersley and Stand start in the preliminary round, while Lowes Park, Greenmount, Pike Fold, Bury and Harwood all enter the competition in round one.
The draw involving local clubs is: Preliminary round – Walmersley v Reddish Vale, Knutsford v Stand; round one – Lowes Park v North Manchester, Greenmount v Hazel Grove, Pike Fold v Wilpshire, Mere v Bury, Great Lever and Farnworth v Harwood.
