BURY Hockey Club's men's first team notched a second win of the year when they beat South Lakes 5-1.

It was a slow start from Bury and they paid for it as they went 1-0 down to a handy looking side.

It took Bury time to settle but they went into the break 2-1 up thanks to two goals from Jack Marshall-Grint.

The second half saw two more goals for Marshall-Grint and one for James Larmett as Bury saw the game off in style.

The men's seconds also won, coming from 1-0 to beat a strong City of Manchester side 2-1.

Johnny Howard was given an outfield role and he excelled in the centre of midfield next to Samit Ghosh.

Jon Kitchen dragged Bury back into the game and his two goals saw them collect all three points.

After their game had to be rearranged, the ladies' firsts won 2-1 against Moss Park at the Armitage Centre, thanks to goals from Charlotte Bates and Lily Furse.

Rounding off victories for all of Bury’s teams, the ladies' seconds scored a huge 11-0 triumph against struggling Urmston.

Chloe Edgington stole the show with five goals to her name as Bury showed no mercy to bump up their goal difference.

The other six goals came from Joy Kennady (two), Lorna Wroe (two), Helen Beard and Lisa Davies.
