TEN Tottington sea anglers travelled south to Weymouth to fish on the boat Fish On, skippered by Josh Simmons, recently.

They travelled on the Friday and fished Saturday and Sunday before returning home on Monday.

The anglers fished about 20 miles out from Weymouth over a few shipwrecks that produced good numbers of pollock, of which most were good size from 5lb to 12lb.

On the Sunday, with better seas and sunshine, they set out to fish other wrecks 20-25 miles out from the harbour.

Better fish were caught and most anglers had a good day.

Martin Colligan had a poor start in the morning but started to hit one or two good fish in the afternoon, finally catching the best fish of the weekend which weighed in at 14lb.

Angler of the day was the club's new member, Jacek Klimczak, who has only sea fished a couple of times with them before, but had a great day catching eight or nine good quality pollock.

Overall, all 10 anglers had a good weekend and took home cool boxes full of fish fillets and good memories.
