BYRON Moore could be next player to make the well-worn journey from Bury to Plymouth Argyle.

The 30-year-old attacker is wanted by Ryan Lowe at Home Park and is trying to engineer an exit from the last 12 months of his contract with the Shakers.

Moore made 43 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists, and turned out in the 1-1 draw against Nantwich Town on Saturday.

Another of last season’s first team regulars, defender Callum McFadzean, joined Plymouth today to become the eighth member of last season’s staff to move to the Devon club.

Argyle chairman Simon Hallett admits the one-way traffic has left him feeling for Bury.

“I feel a little bit of guilt about it, but we paid good compensation for them,” he said.

“The club and its executives got itself into this mess, the players aren’t getting paid and they are young men who need income. We can provide that opportunity.

“I wish that Bury weren’t in this mess. Like us, it’s a club that’s loved by its community and it has got itself into terrible difficulties.

“I don’t feel too good about it, but I don’t think there is anything else we can be expected to do.

“We have paid a lot of money in compensation, which I hope went to paying some of the staff wages.”
