Byron Moore has become the fifth Bury player to join former boss Ryan Lowe at Plymouth.
The 30-year-old forward scored eight goals and made 44 appearances in all competitions as the Shakers were promoted to League One despite their financial problems.
He joins Will Aimson, Danny Mayor, Will Telford and Callum McFadzean at Home Park, the key members of the Gigg Lane squad having followed Lowe and his assistant Steven Schumacher to Devon.
After coming through the academy at Crewe Alexandra, Byron made nearly 300 appearances for the Railwaymen, scoring 34 goals and twice a Wembley winner – scoring in the 2012 League Two play-off final and playing in the following season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Two two-season spells in League One, with Port Vale and Bristol Rovers, followed before Byron linked up with former Crewe team-mates Lowe and Schumacher at Gigg Lane and added another promotion to his CV.
