IT WAS another good week for Radcliffe AC members who took part in a variety of races across several North West counties.

Mark Williams was 49th out of a field of 352 at the St Annes 10 Mile Run. He completed the flat course, which heads along St Annes promenade before looping around Fairhaven Lake, in 1 hour 9 minutes 20 seconds to finish eighth Vet-50.

Meanwhile Lee Cooper got on his bike for the Manchester Airport Duathlon, clocking 1:06:50 for the 2.5km run, 18km bike ride through Cheshire’s picturesque lanes, and 2.5k run.

At the Run Heaton 10k in Heaton Park. David Schofield clocked 1:03:23 while Emma Wolstencroft was eighth Vet-45 in 1:05:09.

The club was out in force to help Deborah Barrington celebrate her birthday at Heaton parkrun – enjoying a glass of Prosecco at the finish line. She clocked 33:18, completing the parkrun as part of a 10-mile training run.

Christopher Whittaker ran 20:58 when he volunteered as the 21-minute pacer, Mark Garner clocked 21:08 and Olivia Whittaker was first JW10 in a great new course personal best of 24:52. Paul Barrington ran 27:41; Katie Davies 31:44; Tracy Wroe 32:40; Deborah Cliff 35:01, Deborah Talbot 35:05 and Bev Quinton 36:01.

Jenny Yates ran a massive parkrun personal best of 20:42 when she was third woman and first Vet-55 at South Manchester parkrun.

At Bolton parkrun, Kathryn Davies ran 28:24; Sarah Oxley 38:40; Sarah Rushton 38:50 and Wayne Holton 38:51.

Craig Ward ran 25:35 at Worsley Woods and Vince Ashton clocked 28:01 at Alexandra Park, Oldham.

Further afield, Sheila Jones was fifth woman and second Vet-60 in 25:09 at Rothay parkrun in Ambleside while Elaine Bailey was third Vet-60 in 28:11 at Brueton in Solihull.
