THREE Radcliffe AC runners chalked up more than 200 miles when they completed virtual ultra-running challenges.

Helen Andrew took on the Virtual Montane Lakeland 100 – which despite its name is actually 105 miles – while Sheila McNulty and Sarah Jackson did the 50-mile option.

Usually held as non-stop races in the Lake District, they had a week to complete their chosen distances.

Vet-50 Andrew finished her 105 miles in 24 hours 31 minutes 15 seconds with a combination of running and walking.

McNulty (Vet-70) completed 50 miles over three runs in 13:43:46, notching up 7,249 ft of climbing.

Jackson, who has done the Montane 50 three times previously, completed the virtual version in 24:12:01 seconds, despite having a knee injury. The Vet-45 walked her 50 miles in the Lake District, completing 10 Wainwright peaks in the process.

Lisa Carter was also in the Lake District when she attempted to become the second woman in the club’s history to complete the Bob Graham Round – one of the toughest fell running challenges in Britain.

With 24 hours to cover its 66 miles, 42 summits and 26,000 ft of climbing, Carter completed more than 40 miles before she was forced to abandon her attempt due to terrible weather conditions.

Louise Shield completed the 22-mile Hive virtual challenge and the NHS Heroes Run, while Natalie Hitchen did the Roy Castle Love 90s 10k.
