They made it two wins out of two with a five-wicket win against Astley and Tyldesley on Saturday.

Dan Pawson took 7-47 as the visitors were all out for 124, Martin Walters then making 49 as the hosts got over the line with more than 20 overs in hand.

Woodbank were three-wicket winners at Egerton.

Stephen Holt took 3-54 as the hosts made 176-7, Gavin Nicholl then top scoring with 38 as Woodbank got over the line in the final over.

Bury have lost two out of two in Premier 2 after a 27-run defeat at Flowery Field.

Michael Finan’s 121 helped the hosts to 259 batting first as Ahmed Matloob took 5-61.

Ben Gorton’s 57 not out then got Bury close but Finan completed a fine day with 5-42 with ball in hand.

Stand are also looking for their first win after going down to a 100-run defeat at Bradshaw.

Steven McGuinness took 4-46 as Bradshaw posted 219-9. David Farmer then top scored with 26 as Stand were all out for 119.

Walshaw also tasted defeat by 111 runs at Woodhouses, for whom Nick Hardman blasted 164 from 112 balls in a total of 312-4.

Elton were four-run winners at Winton as they defended 191-9 in the Championship, Thomas Booth finishing unbeaten on 38.

Adeel Baig then took 4-49 to wrap up a narrow win for his side.

Brooksbottom went down to an eight-wicket defeat at home to Stayley.

Paul Hopton made 64 in their total of 205-8 but the visitors chased down the target with five overs to spare.

Edenfield were blitzed by Tilaksha Malshan as they went down to a 139-run defeat at Heaton.

He smashed 177 from just 127 balls in a total of 341-7, Edenfield were then all out for 202, Paul Gallagher making 58.

In Division 2A East Lancs Paper Mill were 122-run winners at Stand 2s, posting 193 before 6-21 from Ryan Wilkes helped wrap up the win, the hosts all out for 71.

Radcliffe beat Irlam by 120 runs, Faisal Ali top scoring with 83 in their total of 271-7.

Salman Saeed also made an unbeaten 67 and then took 3-40 as Irlam were all out for 151.

In Division 3W, Walshaw 2s bt Unsworth 2s by seven wickets.

n In the Lancashire League, Ramsbottom made it two wins out of two with professional Daryn Smit once again in fine form with the bat.

The South African scored an unbeaten 83 as Ramsbottom beat Crompton by 91 runs.

League new boys Greenmount also kept up their winning start thanks a three-wicket victory at home to Bacup.

The visitors were bowled out for 163 and an unbeaten 84 from Tom Heaton guided Greenmount to victory.
