PRESTWICH enjoyed a double-winning weekend to sit nine points clear at the top of the GMCL Premier Division.

After a 36-run, rain-affected win against Woodbank on Saturday, the leaders were seven-wicket winners at Egerton on Sunday, in another game impacted by the weather.

The Woodbank win saw Sam Holden hit 87 and Dan Pawson 78 in a total of 301-7, Ryan Barker taking 6-81.

Woodbank then finished on 142-8, Imran Mirza making 60.

Holden was then again in the runs against Egerton with an unbeaten 53 seeing his side home after the hosts had been restricted to 159-9.

In Premier 2, Walshaw managed to complete their game at Bradshaw and were victorious.

Josh Allum finished unbeaten on 93 from 60 balls and Shahrukh Khan not out 55 in a total of 233-5 with the hosts then restricted to 97-7 in reply.

Edenfield picked up a two-wicket win against Friarmere in the Championship, Harry Fallon seeing his side home with an unbeaten 73.

In Division 2A, Radcliffe picked up a convincing nine-wicket win at Hindley St Peters with Salman Saeed taking 7-23 and Shaquille Cumberbatch 3-15 as the hosts were all out for just 39.

In Lancashire League Division One, Josh Tolley scored 120 not out as Ramsbottom lost to Norden by 15 runs.

Batting first, Norden posted 229-2. Ramsbottom were set a reduced target due to the rain and closed on 88-3 with Daryn Smit (39no) and Kieren Grimshaw (27) in the runs.

Greenmount beat Great Harwood by three wickets to remain in the hunt for promotion from Division Two.

Batting first, Great Harwood scored 183-8 with Caleb Greenhalgh top scoring with 76.

Evan Williams hit 56 in Greenmount’s successful reply where Great Harwood professional Thikshila de Silva took 5-44.
