A TRIO of Radcliffe Athletic Club members took to the hills above Rochdale in the Wardle Skyline Fell Race.

Craig Norman was 26th, completing the seven-mile route with 1,250 feet of climbing in the South West Pennine moors in 55mins 30secs.

Part of the Run The Moors Fell Grand Prix contested by local clubs, Peter Hunter ran 1:12:23 and John Mcnicoll finished in 1.13.27.

Alex Pullan bagged a 32:13 personal best in the Hartlepool Marina Five Mile Road Race, finishing 47th out of a field of 221.

Neil Greenhalgh won a place in the Lakeland Trails Hawkshead 10k after nominating his mum as his running inspiration in an International Women’s Day competition.

They ran the race together, clocking 1:30:57 on the course which has panoramic views of Windermere and includes the tough ‘Coffin Trail’ climb.

Radcliffe runners were in action at a variety of parkruns.

There were PBs for Rob Shiels and Simon Foulkes at Heaton Park, who finished 10th and 20th respectively in 19:24 and 20:27. Sheila Jones was first VW65 in 23:01, Nick Barnes ran 29:55 and Iain Harris clocked 37:32.

Elsewhere, Tony Holt ran 23:59 at Bramhall Park; Peter Hunter 26:11 at Centre Vale; Cheryl Gallagher 36:05 at Chadderton Hall; Elaine Bailey 28:41 at Delamere; Bev Quinton 38:43 at Greenfield Valley; Kris Booth 25:09 at Pendle; Rob Lister 22:40 at Preston; and Alison Howarth 27:00 and Tracey Wroe 33:06 at Worsley Woods.
