FOUR Radcliffe Athletic Club members got Easter off to a cracking start at the Salford 10k.
They took part in the popular Good Friday race, a fast two-lap course in Lower Kersal.
Rob Shiels was the club’s first finisher in 40mins :45secs, while Simon Foulkes was pleased with a new personal-best time of 41:25.
Sheila Jones notched up another age-group win, finishing first VW65 in 47:12, and Helen Kay ran 1:03:12.
Further afield, David Bartlett bagged a new PB of 41:47 at the Hale Five Mile Race in Merseyside.
The personal bests continued for Gary Adkins, who was third at Heaton Parkrun in 17:44. Stephen Birtwistle ran 21:57, Paul Benson chalked up a course PB in 22:01, junior Robbie Parkinson finished in 24:24, Elaine Bailey was second VW65 in a new PB of 27:44, Nick Barnes ran 29:17 and Iain Harris clocked 34:58.
At Bolton Parkrun, Rob Lister was ninth in 21:16, Kris Booth ran 25:23, Mark Williams clocked 26:18 and Natalie Hitchen finished in 34:53.
Elsewhere, Mike Kontowtt was first VM55 and eighth overall in 20:29 at Peel Parkrun and Sheila Jones was first VW65 on 22:30 at Morecambe Prom.
Times at other parkruns were Cheryl Gallagher 32:27 (Alexandra); Bev Quinton 38:00 (Greenfield Valley); Chris Paxton 23:53 and Peter Hunter 24:25 (Hyndburn); Tracy Wroe 32:57 (Worsley Woods).
