RADCLIFFE AC members enjoyed another successful week or racing.

In the third race in the Central Lancashire Grand Prix series, Haigh Hall attracted 12 of the club’s runners with John Gibbs leading them home in a time of 24mins 21secs and finishing 22nd overall.

Rob Sheils was not far behind in a time of 25:03, followed by Chris Paxton (25:50), Alex Pullan (26:05 and second in his age group), Steven Fawcett (27:31), Neil Greenhalgh (27:38), Ian Swan (28:11), Peter Hunter (28:59), Mia Derbyshire (29:10), Karen Doherty (35:32), Elaine Bailey (36:52) and Peter Warr (39:35).

Meanwhile, Doherty was the only club member at the Walsh Two Lads Fell race.

Covering 5.2 miles with 899 feet of ascent above Horwich, she did the club proud in a time of 58:00.

With Heaton Parkrun off due to Parklife, there was parkrun tourism galore last Saturday.

Rob Lister completed Bolton in a time of 24:34, Helen Kay was at Chadderton (33:36) and Tracy Wroe was at Haigh Woodland (36:16).

Further afield, three Radcliffe athletes went to Northwich, and were led home by Chris Paxton (20:11 and fourth overall), Ian Swan (21:51) and Peter Hunter (22:17).

Sheila Jones travelled to Peel Parkrun (23.03 and second woman), while Stephen Crowe (32:08), Cheryl Gallagher (35:14) and Bev Quinton (38:47) all visited St Helen’s for Sutton Manor Parkrun.

Nine club members took on the Port Sunlight 5k, 10k or dual race in the stunning village of Port Sunlight on the Wirral.

Taking on the dual race (5k followed by a 10k) were Elaine Bailey (5k 26:58; 10k 57:49), Emm Wolstencroft (5k 29:05; 10k 59:00), Stephen Crowe (5k 30:36; 10k 1:04:54), Caroline Malone (5k 30:49; 10k 1:05:21), Helen Kay (5k 30:35; 10k 1:08:27), Jackie Faith (5k 31:03; 10k 01:08:31), Tracy Wroe (5k 32:38; 10k 1:13:17) Kelly Gallagher (5k 34:01; 10k 1:13:50).

Bev Quinton took on the 10k in a time of 1:12:49.
