STRIKER Tunde Owalabi is confident Radcliffe FC can go all the way to the title and promotion this season.

The Neuven Stadium men suffered a rare setback in a season of high optimism last Saturday when they went down to one of the teams in the mix for going up from Evo-Stik West, Leek Town.

It was only their second defeat their last 14 league matches and saw them displaced from the top of the division by Atherton Collieries.

Radcliffe remain in a strong position ahead of Saturday's home match against more high-flying opposition in fourth-placed Mossley, as they sit three points behind leaders Colls with a slightly better goal difference and a game in hand.

Both teams will have one eye on Leek Town in fifth, as they can go level with the two teams if they win their games in hand on them both.

But there is a long way to go, and Owalabi believes Radcliffe have the personnel to ensure they can stay the course.

“We are all excited," he said.

"We know what we want to do, and that’s to try and win the league.

“With games in hand we know if we keep winning, keep putting pressure on the teams around us, anything is possible.

“The teams around us are going to drop points, so we just have to do our best, take it game by game, and see what happens from there.

“But we have a very, very good squad and I believe in every one of my team-mates, and staff, that we are in a good position to push on and win this league."
