SEDGLEY Tigers made it four successive wins in National Two North with a 42-7 home triumph against Stourbridge to maintain their late season push to climb into the upper reaches of the table.
The Park Lane outfit scored six tries on the day and now sit in sixth spot – just 12 points behind second-placed Chester whom they host on Saturday week.
Tries came from six different scorers, with all six converted by Steve Collins.
Callum McShane set the ball rolling after just two minutes, and the lead was doubled on five minutes when Richard Lepori crossed the whitewash.
Matt Riley got on the scoresheet on 26 minutes and the half-time score was 21-0 to the hosts.
The domination continued after the break with Oli Glasse, Sam Lowthion and Andy Riley all crossing for tries within 15 minutes of the restart.
And even a late converted try from Stourbridge could not dampen the mood.
Assistant coach John Livesey said: “It was a game which was really important for our league position and we’re being put forward as the underdog in the final run-in.”
Sedgley are on the road this Saturday when they visit third-bottom South Leicester.
