BRIAN BLAND Brian passed away peacefully in Millfield Nursing Home after a short illness on 12th June 2017 aged 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Doreen, a loving father to his five children, a dear father in law, a loving grandad to his eight grandchildren and an uncle. The funeral service will take place on Monday 26th June 2017 at Rochdale Crematorium at 3pm. Family flowers only please. Life is so fragile, loss can be so sudden, hearts so broken as is ours now,...in the wake of such a loss, we are haunted by things we don’t and may never understand. Yet the solace we seek may not come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love’s everlasting connection. May that love lift us and our family and hold us all close, and give us peace.

It’s so sad to have lost such a loving man, my lovely father in law Brian who I was so fortunate to meet and he will always be in all our thought and in our hearts. We will be encouraged that heaven holds our wonderful dad Brian in their arms and peace is his covering as he is with our mum Doreen. The angels are always near to us all who are grieving, to whisper to us that our loved ones are safe and in good loving company.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love and I for one am grateful I got so much love from my lovely father in law.
