ANGLING: Nothing to carp about with the warmer weather

Maceys Gigg Lane Day Ticket: The fine weather has shown a marked increase in catches with carp beginning to rise. In the warmer water, the bottom lodge is a good day’s fishing although the top is a little slow. The lodge manager has said they have had a problem with evening poachers using nets. This has been reported to the Angling Trust legal department and the Environment Agency who are on the track of these individuals and hope to secure a conviction soon.
