Unsworth's pool team moved up to 2nd place in Division 5 of Radcliffe & District Pool League with a convincing away win against Peel B last Wednesday. Steve kenny, the club's steward, kept up his remarkable winning record, making it 8 wins from 11 games now. Luckily the club were able to find a stand in barman for the night so Steve could make the away trip. However, it is Bill sudbury who has most impressive record of them all with 11 wins in total this season.
The club have been busy on the cricket front securing the services of last year's professonal Jonathan Fowler for one more season. First team captain Jon Wiggans also got winter nets started at Total Cricket in Ashton last Tuesday, and the first session saw 18 cricketers in attendance Meanwhile on the social scene after a Curry-oke night and table top sale in February, the club are preparing for Robbie Williams tribute night on Friday March 24th, where members & non members are welcome
