An under strength Bury first team were well beaten in the end on their visit to promotion rivals Chorlton 2nd. Early draws from Sheraz Khalil and Jim Litherland were promising, but the strength of the home side soon showed through, with Sam Hedge getting overpowered on his first team debut. When mistakes from Anthony Lee, John Grindrod and Steven Press followed, it meant that the match and promotion had gone out of reach for the Bury side. This left Robin Yeung to battle on, but even he eventually lost out. The last game of the season is against Oldham, but with only pride to play for now.

Chorlton 2nd 6 v Bury 1st 1 P Olbison 1, A Lee 0 ; C Vassiliou 1, R Yeung 0 ; A Sainsbury 1, J Grindrod 0 ; J Horner 0.5, J Litherland 0.5 ; A Beresford 0.5, S Khalil 0.5 ; K Salmon 1, S Press 0 ; L Gregg 1, S Hedge 0.
