A helicopter has crash-landed in the grounds of the Bolholt Country Park Hotel in Bury this afternoon.
The pilot, now confirmed as the hotel's owner Stefan Sikorski, emerged relatively unscathed from the wreckage.
The helicopter plunged to the ground and burst into flames around 2.50pm at the rear of the Stables leisure club, situated within the grounds of the hotel off Walshaw Road.
The craft was bought by Mr Sikorski a week ago.
Four fire crews used a foam substance to extinguish the blaze which swept through the helicopter.
A North West Air Ambulance was also called to the scene to assist other emergency services.
