A REVOLUTIONARY treatment used by celebrities to get red carpet ready has come to Bolton.

Evolve Skin Clinic, The Conservatory, Chorley Old Road, Heaton, is the only place in Bolton offering Venus Freeze — a non surgical treatment which tightens and contours the skin.

Vicky Ann Kennedy — who opened her first clinic New Woman in Westhoughton, in 1991, at the age of 19 — bought the machine a month ago and says clients have already been bowled over by the results.

The treatment — which works by zapping heat into the skin to plump it by creating collagen — can be used on the face and all over the body for contouring, shaping, wrinkle reduction, skin tightening and to reduce cellulite.

Not only is the treatment great for aging skin, but young models such as Cara Delevingne are also said to be turning to it for a last-minute pick-me-up.

Vicky, whose second clinic is Evolve, Mill Street, Westhoughton, said: “We are very much a skin clinic that gets results, specialising in acne and age management.

“We have only had the Venus Freeze treatment for four weeks, I have exclusivity in our area, and I’m already thinking of getting another machine.

“It’s what all women and men have been waiting for.

“It’s won awards in America for the best non-invasive/ non surgical procedure.

“It’s used by many celebrities for the red carpet to lift the face and tighten the neck, to smooth their contours and reduce cellulite.

“It’s fantastic before a special occasion for the face and neck — we call this the Cinderella effect.

“The treatment works by incorporating multi-polar radio frequency and magnetic pulsed fields in one device, delivering it safely and effectively to the client.

“We stimulate the body’s natural healing response as the multi-polar radio frequency causes a thermal reaction in the tissue.

“It’s really pleasant to experience, it’s like having a hot stone massage.”

Vicky and her team are Harley Street trained advanced paramedical skin practitioners, with leading clinical treatment brand Danne Montague King, and Vicky won the award for best practitioner in 2010.

A minimum of six Venus Freeze sessions are required for the face, with a 45 face and neck treatment costing £120.

For the body, a minimum of eight are required with a 35 abdomen treatment costing £95.

Venus Freeze

IN the 21st century quest to look and feel your best, Venus Freeze is one of many fancy sounding treatments which promises impressive results.

Although I only had one face and neck treatment, my skin did look and feel instantly plumper as soon as the 45-minute treatment was over.

Lying back in relaxing surroundings at the Heaton clinic, Alex set to work with the Venus Freeze handheld device which is rolled over the skin to emit pulsed magnetic fields and radio frequency which heat the skin from the inside out.

Alex started with my neck and the treatment did feel slightly hot on that area but was,
surprisingly, extremely pleasant and relaxing when administered to my face.

As I have sensitive skin, I expected my face to be beetroot red for quite a while afterwards but it settled down fairly quickly.

A course of six to 10 treatments are recommended for the face with eight to 12 for the body, to see long lasting results.

If it is good enough for model of the moment Cara Delevingne, it is good enough for me.
