ELECTRONIC dance duo Basement Jaxx will be behind the decks at a gig this weekend.

Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton released their seventh album, Junto, in August and will be at the O2 Apollo, Manchester, on Saturday night.

The title translates from Spanish as together and the pair said it sums up the spirit of the record and the essence of their desire to unify people with their music.

Felix said: "With this album, we wanted to do something that felt more at one with the world.”

This approach is reflected in the titles of Power To The People, We Are Not Alone and Love Is At Your Side, as well as the throwback fun of What’s The News and Sneakin’ Toronto.

After releasing their first album Remedy, in 1999, a string of club anthems and top 10 hits followed, including Red Alert, Romeo and Where's Your Head At?
