THE summer weather may now be long gone, but that didn’t stop the Radcliffe Salvation Army raising a fine sum at a garden party celebration last weekend.
A blustery wind on Saturday afternoon did not deter local residents from attending the party in Cemetery Road, with more than 100 people enjoying the festivities.
The event, which was opened by Captain Mary Humphries, included a performance from the Salvation Army band as well as games and a variety of stalls.
Organisers said they were delighted with the response to the party and collected a total of £35 10s over the course of the day.
