I DON'T know when Cllr Shori wrote his letter "Money when they want it" (Guide, June 29), but my guess would be before Prime Minister's questions on Wednesday, June 28.

Like Cllr Shori, the Labour front bench, during this Parliamentary session, was critical of the Tory alliance with the DUP until Nigel Dodds (Deputy Leader of the DUP) stood up and said: “We commit to transparency. We are fairly open to that and some day, I beg to think we might publish all of the correspondence and conversations we had in 2010 with the Labour front bench and in 2015 with the Labour front bench and indeed with the SNP as well."

Was Cllr Shori aware of such discussions and could he possibly imagine that Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband might enter into such an alliance with no financial implication?

Casting the first stone springs to mind!
