THIEVES used a crane to steal a generator worth thousands of pounds from outside a restaurant.
A wagon with a crane pulled up outside the Indian restaurant in Bury and Bolton Road, Radcliffe, between 8pm and 10pm on Saturday.
The crane was used to lift the generator on to the wagon, before the vehicle drove off towards Bury.
The green 50kva generator was thought to be worth thousands of pounds.
Police are investigating the theft, but no arrests have yet been made.
