THE countdown is on for the launch of Bury’s Christmas lights.
Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote, aged 22, will be the star of the glittering switch-on show. She will join Key 103 radio presenters Adam Catterall and Darren Proctor for an evening of music and entertainment on Thursday November 7.
The Bury-born actress, who has played Katy Armstrong in the ITV soap since 2010, will switch on the lights at 7.30pm and Father Christmas will be there to get children in an early festive mood.
Other attractions at the event, which lasts from 6pm to 8pm, will be performances by Britain’s Got Talent acts Reconnected and Be Minor. There will also be a Christmas choir, and a Christmas zumba.
